I can honestly say that my resume is very short. I worked for McDonald's for three years while in high school and one year of college. However, when my future father-in-law who was in the carpet business offered me a job making 20 cents an hour more than McDonald's was paying me I took the opportunity. On June 1, 1970, I went to work at Remnant Carpet in Oklahoma City. I worked there running one of his stores for sixteen years. I fell in love with the flooring business and decided to start my own company.

On June 1st, 1986 I opened The Carpet Store and have been here ever since. We are a low-profit high-volume family business. I pride myself on the fact that we have many repeat customers that come back quite often. My goal is that everyone is happy with their purchase and we strive to keep it that way.

Over 30 years of experience

While we still do a considerable amount of retail business for the home, the bulk of our business is main street commercial. I am proud to say that we have numerous long term contracts with Oklahoma City and also entities around the State of Oklahoma.

Specializing in commercial flooring does not mean we are limited- All jobs are appreciated - large or small, we will do whatever we can to please you. We have installation crews that can handle any size job from a restroom, to a home, or to the Oklahoma City Bricktown Ballpark, or to the Oklahoma City Will Rogers Airport, we can handle it all.
